Events - Are they listening?

"Communicating the value of partnerships between charities and businesses"
10 July 2007, 1.30pm to 5:00pm, NCVO, London

Businesses and charities have diverse groups of stakeholders. Successful businesses keep staff, investors, regulators, competitors and the wider market, informed about their activities - both when things go well, and when they don't. Likewise, successful charities communicate clearly to the people they employ, their volunteers, donors, beneficiaries and the wider public about the work they do and the benefits this brings.
But what about when businesses and charities work together? In a cross sector partnership: Who decides what the message is, who to communicate to and how? Who leads on press and PR? How should often complex messages be communicated to a range of people with often very different expectations and values? How can we make sure that the message is heard and understood? Should it be a dialogue? We will explore these questions and more during the afternoon.
