| Events - PRAXIS: General Grounds for Refusal | |
| Praxis is holding a free event for migrants to inform them about the changes to the immigration rules. These changes could effect new applications to enter or remain in the UK, especially for migrants who are refused asylum seekers, overstayed their visa, have previously left the UK through deportation, removal, or voluntary return, or have other issues around past applications for a visa. The purpose of the event is to provide information to migrants who may be effected and to minimise the negative effect this law. There will be a presentation about the new rules by Steve Symonds of ILPA. Migrants can also meet with a solicitor to discuss their case and find out of there is any action they should take before 1 October 2008 to help their case. Sessions with solicitors are free. For enquiries, please contact Kathryn Dennler at kathryn.dennler@praxis.org.uk or by phone at 0207 749 7615. |
