Events - Tackling Domestic Violence

Monday 20th October 2008 - Central London

Every minute police in the UK receive a call in relation to domestic violence. This, often hidden, crime causes trauma and suffering to the victims and families involved. It also has massive economic consequences, with domestic violence costing £25 billion in public services in 2005/06. A proactive response is widely recognised as being essential if a real impact is to be made.
By bringing together strategic stakeholders and examples of best practice at a local level, Capita’s 9th Domestic Violence Conference is an excellent opportunity to examine the key issues and make real progress in reducing domestic violence.
Delegates attending this timely event will take away practical advice that can benefit work in their areas and ultimately improve service delivery.
