Jobs - Refugee Council Institutional Giving Officer, Brixton

Salary £26,258
Closing date for applications: Thursday 4th March 2010.
Interviews are provisionally set for the week commencing Monday 15th March 2010.

If you’d like to enhance your fundraising career – while playing an integral role in one of today’s key issues – here’s the opportunity you’ve been waiting for. As the UK’s largest charity working with refugees and asylum seekers, we provide them with expert help and support. Through our work, we also challenge public misconceptions, negative stereotypes and prejudice – promoting widespread understanding, knowledge and respect.

The work of our fundraising team underpins everything we do - and Institutional Giving has a key role to play in this process. This area of our work is responsible for securing restricted and unrestricted income from charitable trusts and foundations, companies and statutory sources.
In this role, you’ll be contributing to the development and implementation of a successful Institutional Giving strategy. You will need to maintain an awareness of other fundraising initiatives in order to promote a coherent and integrated approach to the overall fundraising programme and increase the profile of fundraising activity across the organisation.
With experience of raising funds from charitable trusts, companies and/or statutory sources, you’ll have proved yourself capable of achieving personal income targets, and of developing relationships with and account management of large scale funders (over £50,000 p.a.).
