Responding to the existent and emerging needs of BME community organisations, MODA continuously reviews and improves its training programme to achieve outcomes which will have positive impact on the community development aspects of migrant and minority ethnic groups.
Our training programme for 2005 aims to address capacity building needs of refugee, migrant and minority ethnic groups in a holistic way. This means seeing an organisation’s capacity building need as multiple interrelated processes and competencies rather than as individually selected intermittent priorities. For newly-formed organisations or those that have not achieved a considerable degree of internal capacity building, it is important that the whole programme is attended. However, it is possible of course to enrol in just one or more training days according to the need of a group or an individual.
Thanks to PRAXIS we will be able to offer the programme throughout 2005 at their premises in Bethnal Green. But we are also willing to provide these or other training courses in house or in different locations for refugee and BME networks and/or CVS-s in
different London boroughs.
