  Training Programme 2005 - 1st quarter

The first MODA’s training programme for 2005 comprises 12 days of capacity building training delivered over three months with 4 days per month from January to March 2005. 12 Trainees from BME groups attended the training in January and February. The next training courses will be delivered from 21-25 March 2005 at PRAXIS.

Feedback from the participants indicate that the rate of approval (strongly agree) for the training programme was 99 per cent. And the following are some comments made by the participants:

  • The course of two days was an interesting one, as the tutor covers all aspects. I hope that we will be able to attend more courses like this one.
  • I have found the course very useful. Better than many other sessions I have been to. Would be grateful for any additional support that you can give to the Alliance
  • Excellent trainer. Very knowledgeable. The course was grounded in reality and a good learning process through participatory methods used.
  • The course was very useful, with clear teacher. I think I can implement a lot of the information I heard here.
  • I find the course very interesting, informative and useful. I have learned a lot and gathered a lot of information which I hope I will implement in the office
  • The course was really good but I believe that it requires more time to cover every aspect in detail

Quality Mark Training

MODA also offered special five days 1-2-1 training sessions to the co-ordinator and management committee members of Anatolia (Turkish-Kurdish) community organisation in Hackney. This is a well-established group which provides various essential services in areas of immigration, employment, housing, education and general community development to Turkish-speaking communities. The aim of the training was to develop the organisation’s systems and structure as well as the knowledge and skills of its workers so that the organisation can apply for and hopefully succeed in obtaining the Quality Mark.
